Level 2 MOT Class 4+7 Tester Course

About The Course

This is a four-day course consisting of two days in the classroom & two days in the workshop. There is an online exam & a practical observation also carried out during this time.


Your training is carried out by live MOT Testers who have decades of Automotive & Teaching experience.

A course of support with an atmosphere of questions & answers is always promoted within our environment that helps our candidates feel they have walked away with a strong knowledge of learning.

Eligibility

  • Have a current full UK driving licence for a vehicle class within the test group they wish to test.
  • Be a skilled mechanic that has at least four years full-time employment, permitted by law, in the service and repair of the vehicle types to be tested.
  • Have no convictions, as defined in Appendix 7 (Convictions & Repute) of the MOT Guide.
  • Be otherwise of Good Repute as defined in the Appendix 7 (Convictions & Repute) of
    the MOT Guide.
  • Have an acceptable Automotive level 3 qualification.

What Happens After Completion of Course?

Upon successfully completing the course, your certificate should arrive within a month.


During this time, unless already done so, it is advised you apply for your basic DBS check at GOV>UK so you can consider booking your VT8 observation where waiting times can vary depending on the area around the country. 

For this you will need the following:

  • DBS certificate
  • Full driving licence
  • MOT course certificate or E-certificate
